Title: Expose Me Lord

Scripture: After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John, the brother of James and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was, transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. – Matthew 17:1-2

Being exposed could mean different things to different people. For teenagers, being exposed could mean carrying a designer bag and putting on make-up. For adults, it could be visiting a new country on holiday or touring the world. Exposure is first, in any great accomplishment. Without being exposed, we will be limited in what we can achieve because our options are limited.

On the mountain of transfiguration, Jesus exposed to himself to his disciples. Peter stood in awe of such glory that he requested they make three tabernacles for them to live in and not return home (see Matthew 17:4). Such exposure brought the disciples into a realm of revelation and spiritual understanding which far beyond anything they had experienced. Jesus exposed heaven to the disciples. In so doing they were willing to loss their lives for the sake of the kingdom of God.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18

The barbering Salon is one place you fine people from all walks of life come together. People have made terrible financial decisions that affect their family and future based on an advice given to them by someone in a barber’s chair. You cannot make a smart decision if you have been under exposed. Everyone has an idea how life ought to be based on their exposure. You cannot do better in your area if you have not be exposed to it. A Lack of exposure makes us narrow minded, judgmental and prejudice. Being exposed gives you options in life. We must not allow the narrow minded opinion of others, who have no exposure, no experience imprison and rob of us from the best of God

I recommend the following steps in quest for exposure:

  • Increase in knowledge: Knowledge is light. The entrance of light causes darkness to disappear. Darkness is synonymous with lack of exposure. With the increase of knowledge comes more options to what is available to us. Don’t make permanent decisions on poor information.
  • Increase in experience: Move out of your comfort Zone. When God gives you a whole house, please use the very room. (Psalms 24:1). Visit other countries, culture and experience new things. It broadens your horizon.
  • Learn a new language: Every craft or profession has a language. A medical doctor speaking to a colleague would be speaking a language. If you are not a medical practitioner, you will simply be lost in the conservation. In other words, there is language other than what you are speaking right now, especially if you want to change your profession.
  • Get Mature: There are things in life that God will not give to us except we are mature enough to handle it. Maturity is one of those things that cannot be hurried. It takes time and consistent effort.

Friends, it is time to get exposed.
