Scripture: “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. – Mark 11:23

Faith is an essential element of Christian life. We were saved by faith (Ephesian 2:8) and We walk and live by faith (2 Cor. 5: 7). The scriptures in the book of Hebrew 11 list the patriarch in the Hall of Faith. The scripture also makes us understand that “Whatever we do apart from faith is described as sin” (Romans 14:23). Our prayer time we will be a waste of time, for “Without faith, it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6)

There are different kind of faith

• Intellectual Faith: This kind of faith is of the head not the heart. They can quote the right bible verse and doctrine. They know the right “words”, but they do not back up their words with their “works”. James emphasizes that “faith without works is dead” (James 2:17)
• Emotional Faith: This is kind of faith is based on Emotional experiences while attending services. They only believe when they have goose bumps on their skin. A new convert was asked, how do you know you are born again? He remain I felt it. Then he was asked what about the next morning, when you don’t have the same feeling you had during the service.
• Heart Faith: This is kind of faith that rejoice in the truth of God’s word in good time or bad times. Knowing that God is a constant factor regardless of the situation or what life throws our way. It is not intellectual or emotional. You may not feel like it but you know the truth in your heart that God is true.

Satan is the great deceiver. One of his devices is imitation. If he can convince a person that counterfeit faith is true, then he can limit you and everything else around you. Jesus often said unto people who came to him for healing, “Be unto you according to your faith” (Matthew 9:29)
