Scripture: “Let there be light and there was light” – Genesis 1:3
Do you know everything around you has ears? Take look at the following scriptures:
The scriptures above show the tremendous power of words. It one of the key component that brought the heavens and earth into existence. Every word we speak has the potential to work in our favour or against us because everything around us has ears, “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37). As God representatives on earth and heaven’s Ambassador our tremendous authority, more than we have ever used. We must take conscious effort daily to speak into the atmosphere and decree what we want to see. Failure to speak is simple accepting the status what is as the norm. if you want to see something different then you have to say something. What are you saying into your world today?
We are all products of the words we have heard, whether positive that builds us up or negative that to tear us down (John 6:63). The strength of our faith is shown in the words we speak. The devil being a legal expert wants to trap us in our words (Proverbs 6:2). I discover that every word I speak is a Prayer without assuming the prayer posture.I believe that today many Christians are living defeated lives because of their words. Have you become snared by what comes out of your mouth? Do you talk negatively about your health, your job, your finances, or your family and it just drags you down that much more?
What we say can make the difference between success and failure, therefore say something positive today. You have the choice of what words you live by. Romans 10:8 says the “word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is the word of faith we are proclaiming.” We have been given authority to speak God’s words in His name. Christianity is not a magic formula with a button and make things happen. It is not saying superficial words that have no substance. It won’t hold up under the test of time. But the scripture gives us principals to follow that will help us to develop our faith, so we are planting for a good harvest by words. Change is made with words.
