Scripture: Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof. – Nehemiah 13:14
Sometimes we feel forgotten by God, especially when we are waiting on Him for a particular need to be resolved. Everyone I have ever known has had to wait for something. Whether they wait in traffic, wait in line, wait on someone, or wait on God. The bible tells us “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Proverbs 13:12). Waiting makes feeling like giving up. We live in super fast world, why do we have to wait on a slow God? If we do not have the fruit of patience & longsuffering, we may be tempted to become bitter and angry with God when He delays in answering our prayers.
Have you ever felt abandoned by God? Have you ever wondered if God has forgotten you? Have you ever felt as if your prayers were bouncing off the ceiling and hitting you on the head? The scripture is full of example of those God remembered, it is a great indication that it is your turn to be remembered. For Example
God making us wait could be a part of His strategy. If we are impatient and go ahead without God, we will be defeated when we come against strong opposition.
What we seek is divine attention from God. The Psalmist says “Remember me, LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them”(Psalms 106:4). The question is how do I Provoke the Remembrance Of God :
[pullquote] Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, “Remember, LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. – Isaiah 38:2-3 [/pullquote]
