Title: Let the Wind Blow

Scripture And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Acts 2:1 -3

The wind is such a powerful force in transforming Christian landscape. The Christian landscape has not been the same since the arrival of the Holy Spirt on the day of Pentecost. Suddenly the apostle Peter who was timid became bold. He spoke with such authority that thousand to repentance (Acts 2:37). It was the wind from heaven that drew the crowd. The blowing of the wind of the wind signifies revival in the body of Christ

The works of the Holy Spirit

The wind is a power generating force: Wind mills have been used for thousands of years for grinding grains and pumping water for irrigation. In modern day we have wind mill farm for generating electricity. It is renewable source of energy Without emission that damage the atmosphere. The “Wind of God” blowing in our life will empower us in our Christian walk and service Zech 4:6.The wind is a penerating and destructive force

Wind is one of the most powerful forces in nature. Strong hurricane and tornado force winds are a destructive force. The strongest is the F5 tornados. These winds can move things that seem unmovable, mighty tree in the forest fall, houses are completely uprooted. There are times when we need the Holy Spirit to move in our life like a warm, gentle, summer breeze and there are other times when we need the “Wind of God” to blow with destructive force and demolish every strong hold, every wall, every obstacle Satan has around us. My prayer for you this morning is that all oppostion to your progress is destroyes completely in Jesus name.

The wind blowing signifies direction to the body of Christ

The wind is an apt symbol of the sovereign direction of the Holy Spirit. He goes wherever he wills; you cannot predict him. The direction and leading of the Spirit of God brought Philip in contact with the Ethiopian treasurer Acts 8:26 -40. For centuries the wind has been used in sailing to carry ships and boats across the seas from countries to countries, continent to continent. You have to be willing to yield to the direction of the wind. God puts his hand on the tiller, that’s what steers the boat. We have to yield and trust God to allow him not only to choose the direction of the wind but also the direction of our lives.
You have to choose to surrender your will to God. God will never overrun or override your will. You can’t just choose the direction your life is going to go, you have to wait and see the direction the wind is blowing and go according to it. Most sailboats tack which means they go a very crooked path, they go to this side of the wind and then that side of the wind as you’re going. But it’s what is necessary to use the wind to go forward. The Holy Spirit is often the same. It may take you places you didn’t expect to go but then you find out that is right place to go. We’ve all had that experience. But we’ve also had that other experience where the Holy Spirit tells us where we are to go and we decide we’re going to go our own direction. No only can the wind move us forward it drives us higher. To change our Altitude
Eagles fly the highest need the wind to soar. We are going to soar high then we need the Holy Spirit

Even in our best of efforts we are still a long way from where God wants us to be spiritually. So He is constantly working on us, changing us, transforming us to become what He wants us to be or until Christ be formed in us (Gal 4:19). We need to let the wind blow in our lives and re arrange things to suite Him.
the wind of God’s Spirit is constantly blowing and we need the continual infilling, indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to continually transform and shape us to what God desire for us

We cannot dictate to Holy Spirit, where or How he blows the wind, we simply follow his leading. The new birth is not the end of what God has for us but the very beginning. Many people have a one-time experience with God but nothing more

Life with the wind of the Holy Spirit is an adventure. We’re often afraid of what God will ask us, what will happen to us if we take that great risk and fail. Procrastination and fear are the two great inhibitors of Spirit. Third is worthiness. It’s not our worthiness but our willingness to act when God speaks, to live the unexpected adventure of serving God and following wherever His spirit leads. There is no better time than today to yield to the wind.
