Peace is one of those things that everyone wants, but no one really knows how to get and if they do manage to get it they don’t know how to keep it.
Peace is not merely the absence of activity. The Scripture is pointing to the fact that peace, deep down unshakable peace does not come from the lack of adversity. As a matter of fact, the deepest peace you will ever feel will be in the midst of some of my greatest adversities you ever face. Jesus says in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
