Are You Baptised?
Water Baptism is public acknowledgement of the changes which has occurred within, it identifies you with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (Romans 6:3-4). Moreover, it is a sign of your new life as a Christian. Old things have passed away and all things have become new (see 2 Cor. 5:17).
“For as many of you as having been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” – Galatians 3:27
Water Baptism is far more than a religious exercise; it is an important step in our complete obedience to God, it is a command and not an optional task. Jesus said “if you deny before I will deny you before my father who is heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33)
Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist by immersion (see Mark 1:10). He commanded his disciples in Matthew 28:19 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
