Scripture:For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. – Romans 8:19
Life can be humbling at times.God has also prepared ahead of time works for you to walk in, good things for you to do. The Bible shows tells God has bigger plans for us than we have for ourselves (Jer. 29:11). We sell ourselves short by thinking things when our God is great. His has big plans to work through us that depend on us, but we also have the freedom to suppress them by getting in the way of His plans.
There is greatness in small things! What would happen if you just added a little bit more faith into your prayers, your confidence in God, your job, your family, your commitment? How often do we miss an opportunity to create better results because we don’t apply a small amount of effort beyond what we normally do? Consider, the impact of making an extra contact each day at work… a sales call… a customer follow-up… a brief discussion with a colleague… an encouraging talk with a member of your team. With contact comes opportunity. At the end of a year you’ll have opened more than 200 additional doors of possibility. On the personal side, imagine the exponentially positive results of investing an additional 15 minutes of quality time each day with your spouse or children. No longer will you be able to do only what is required of you, but what is expected of you. But the greatest things about life is that despite our shortcomings and despite our flaws, God wants to do amazing things in our lives.
How will we drive the stakes deep?
- BY FAITH. We must remember that the work of the church is not a work that any man can do. We are participants in the work of God! Jesus said, “I will build my church” (Matthew 16:18). God has chosen to build His church through us. Let’s believe that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with God and by faith build Praise A/G into the church that God wants it to be.
- BY PRAYER. The church advances best on its knees! “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16 NIV). Jesus said, “The Father will give you whatever you ask in my name” (John 15:16-17 NIV).
- BY GOD’S WORD. The Word of God is powerful and effective and it will accomplish the purposes for which God sends it forth (See Hebrews 4:12 and Isaiah 55:11).
- BY OBEDIENCE. Paul said, “Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else (2 Corinthians 9:13 NIV).
See yourself as man or woman of destiny. Great things are embedded within you.
