Title: Unclaimed Baggage

“]

“…so that we may understand what God has freely given us” – 1 Cor.2:12.

Everyone likes a bargain; most bargain hunters know where to go for the best deals. You will be amazed at the kind of treasures you will find at the airport in the unclaimed baggage section from travellers across the world. I read the story of an entrepreneur who founded lucrative business by sourcing goods from unclaimed baggage.

Christians have unclaimed treasures in heaven. I read the testimony of Jesse Duplantis which depicts this truth. According to the man of God, he was in invited to heaven, as he walked with Jesus. They came across a group of warehouses; one of them had his name on it. The lord asked him “if he wanted to see the inside of the warehouse”. He replied, “Yes”. The door of warehouse was opened, and he saw treasures filling the warehouse from top to bottom. He was excited; in his excitement his eye caught a little a corner of the warehouse, which was empty. He asked the lord, “why is this place empty?” The lord replied, “That is how much you have asked for out of the provision I have made for you.” The scriptures give credibility to Jesse’s testimony, the bible says,

“…What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Cor. 2:9

The story of Daniel the prophet shed further light on this truth. The angel with the answer to his prayers arrived after 21 days late. He told Daniel, he was withheld in the heavens, until rein enforcement was sent to rescue him (Daniel 10:12). Have you wondered what would have happened to answer the angel is carrying, if Daniel had stop praying after the 3rd day or 7th day or 14th day? The answer is the devil would have hijacked the answer from the angel carrying it . The devil is thief, who goes around seeking whom he may devour. This is a key reason why we must be consistent in the place of prayer. Whenever we forget to pray, we are leaving our treasures unclaimed. Have you claimed your treasures today? Don’t let the devil get your treasures for a bargain.

Prayer for the day

  • Lord, Teach me to Pray – Luke 11:1
  • Father, I recovered every hijacked treasure in the name of Jesus – Joel 2:25- 27
  • Father, Open my eyes to see your hidden treasures for my life – Isaiah 45:3
