In Him

Title: In Him

Scripture: “In him we live, and move, and have our being” Acts 17:28

In Him realise our self worth. Many Christians suffer from self imposed condemnation. This morning I offer three lessons:

We Are Valuable: A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $100.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $100 bill?” Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $100 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple the $100 dollar bill up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled,and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make, and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. In christ we are valuable.Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

We Have Sufficiency: Three pastors are discussing to each other about life. One Pastor asked them, “Why all Christians are poor?” The other Pastor said, “because people measures their success with their money or property.” Right! ” Sufficiency is found not in having everything you want, but in not wanting to have everything.” When you have nothing left but God, you become aware that He is enough.

[pullquote]He who looks up to God never looks on people[/pullquote]We have Security: During the first part of the construction of Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco USA there is no safety device used. Twenty-five men working fell and died. In the last part of the construction, they put a large net worth $100,000 so that they will be safe. Still many workers fell but they held by the net. They also noticed that 25% more work have been done because of the assurance of safety.“Security is our nearness to God, not our distance from danger”

In Him we’re forgiven. We were slaves of sin, but the Son has set us free. There is no remembrance of any of our sins because of the blood of Christ and because we are in Him. Being in him will allow you to know the mysteries of his will. If you are in Him, you are sealed with the guarantee of God. We are guiltless and perfect in Him!
