Title: Jehovah Shalom – God of Peace
Scripture: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6
Fear is a constant in our world usually based on a threat either real or imagined. It’s fun to read these fears and think, “How on earth can someone be afraid of things like colors . But when we get afraid Our blood pressure jumps up. Our pulse races. We start to sweat or hyperventilate. Our blood sugar skyrockets, giving us enough energy to either fight or run away. We feel legitimate fear.
Bible scholars tell us that the word fear not is written 365 times in the scriptures. Peace expresses the deepest desire and need of the human heart. It represents the greatest measure of contentment and satisfaction in life. God is sensitive to the needs and sorrows of His children. The scriptures in Exodus 3:7 says “And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows”
Jesus Is Our Jehovah-Shalom Jesus is the supplier of peace to the Christian.
