Scripture: “ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us ” – Ephesians 3:20

When you order a cup of coffee from a place like Starbucks, you would be asked what size would you like? Your options are Short, Tall, Grande and Venti. The difference between the sizes is simply their capacity, the ability to hold or contain more. With the current outpouring of God’s supernatural blessings unto his people in the New Year, We need to increase our capacity, so that we can take advantage of it.

I believe God has the ability, the willingness, the desire to bless us abundantly above all that we could ever think or ask of. If there is no shortage of resources with God and heaven’s supply room then the problem lies here on earth with our capacity to receive. Here are principles we can learn from the scriptures about increasing our Capacity

Surplus is not valid reason to waste, When there are no more vessel the oil cease to flow (2 kings 4:6), When He God fed the Israelites with manna, He told them to collect what they could eat for the day, when Jesus fed five thousand, He asked them to collect the fragment (Matthew 14:13-21). God dislikes waste.
You must used what you have first before you are qualified for more. The Parable of Talent teaches this principles. The servant who failed to used what he has been given was regarded as being wicked. (See Matthew 25: 14 -30)
When you expand your capacity to give, your capacity to receive increases.(Luke 6:38)
Don’t ask for more if you are not ready for the responsibility that comes with it, “with great power comes great responsibilities” (Spiderman)
You cannot go beyond further than you can see. (Genesis 13:14 -16). Think Possibilities, Remove the Limitation in your mind’s eyes. Jesus said, “As far as possibilities go, everything is possible for the person who believes” – Mark 9:23

“I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.” – 2 Samuel 12: 8

To increase our capacities for more here are some points :

Prayer: You must realise that you need an enlarged capacity, hence you ask God for it. Jabez asked for God to bless him indeed and enlarge his coast (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)
Increase your Knowledge: Ignorance is never bliss. Knowledge brings light into the dark situation of our lives. We need light of the truth to help us see clearer
Increase your faith capacity: Faith is the substance of vision, dreams, and moving into the future. Faith enable us to take the practical step needed
Increase your capacity for change: In other words be flexible, be willing to change the ways things are done. Change can greatly affect our momentum in life
Increase your capacity for people and team work: Develop people skills. create a team atmosphere where people can contribute ideas, and developed.
Be willing to go the Extra Mile: those who want more, are willing to do more. They are willing to go where other have not being before. Get out of the comfort zone, like Abraham who left what was familiar and held onto the promises of God

No one can limit or restrict your capacity for success unless you allow them to do so.Think Bigger, go further and occupy new territories.
