Marriage

God’s plan is that a man & woman commit themselves to each other for the rest of their lives, being totally devoted to one another in every way. Marriage is about recognizing the uniqueness of our mates.Eve was created uniquely for Adam. No other creature was a “suitable helper” for him. That phrase means “a helper corresponding to him” or “a helper alongside him.” She was unique in that she was created differently, she was brought to him in a different manner, & their relationship was different from all the other creatures. Everything about her was unique. Everything about their relationship was unique. One of the most important things we can do in our marriage relationship is to recognize the uniqueness of the person that God has brought into our lives as our husband or wife. A strong marriage is built on the foundation of prayer and the word of God.

  • Matthew 19:5-6: ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
  • Genesis 2:18: The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.
  • Ecclesiastes 4:9-12: Two are better than one,because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
  • 1 Peter 4:8: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Marriage is about Godly companionship.Marriage is God’s idea. He intended marriage to meet the basic human need of love & companionship. He established His plan for marriage all the way back in the Garden of Eden, and His perfect plan has not changed, no matter what the world says. Cohabitation is not God’s plan.
  • Extramarital affairs are not God’s plan
  • Homosexual marriage is not God’s plan
  • Divorce is not God’s plan

  • Father let every satanic storm in my marriage be, silenced in the name of Jesus.
  • Father I uproot every root of bitterness and unforgiveness in the heart of my spouse in the name of Jesus.
  • Father let there be joy, peace, unity and prosperity in my marriage in Jesus mighty name
  • Father teach us to not dwell on one another’s shortcomings, but to love through it all.
  • I come against the spirit of malice, silent treatment, anger, negative speaking and unnecessary quarrels in my home in Jesus name
  • My marriage shall be heaven on earth in the name of Jesus.
