Title: The Critical Path

Scripture: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

In Project Management, the critical path is the longest sequence of activities in a project plan which must be completed on time for the project to complete on due date. Our lives is God’s project and it must be managed as such. Activity on a critical path have dependence until its predecessor activity is complete, other activities cannot be complete. This in turn causes delay to the overall project.

For Christians, Our critical path Is knowing where you want to be in comparison to where you are now and taking the most direct route to get where were want to be. When there are delays in our lives one the question we must ask ourselves is “Am I on the critical Path?” If the answer to the question is yes, we seek earnestly the help of the Holy Spirit.

  • Life lived off the critical path leads to Delays
  • Life lived off the critical path leads to destruction
  • Life lived off the critical path leads to Death

Our choices reflect our intelligence and reveal our hearts. What we choose today affects our life in the future. Our future will show what we have in mind and heart yesterday. It’s a simple and clear principle of sowing and reaping. What we will reap in the future will surely uncover what we sow today. As we ponder these things, it warns us not to take the risk of making questionable choices in life. Making decision is sensitive and critical. We need the help of God. It’s a wise move to consider the will of God in making decision.

“Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” – Psalms 86:11

May these lessons grow in us as we take the path of the just and experience the abiding presence of the Lord. Our spiritual growth and fruitfulness depend on how we treasure and how we apply Bible principles in our every day life. We should not also forget all the warnings we have heard so that our true purpose of life will not be derailed, but be continually fulfilled as we walk in the path of righteousness.

[pullquote] Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. – Psalms 25:4 [/pullquote]Paul was living a very focused life as a Christian. He had a clear sense of direction. He had a strong sense of purpose about his life and his experience of making God’s priorities his priorities for his life were extremely rewarding. Living our life on track is living life as God intended, and there can be nothing more rewarding than this. We should not let our old man to have a part or to control our mind in making decisions for our future.
