Title: Uncommon Victory
Scripture: The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14
There is a great hunger and a great desire among the people of God to find a way to live in victory. Behind that hunger is the reality that many believers live spiritually defeated lives. So many Christians go through life struggling from day to day things they have battled with for years. The bible is full of examples of people God has given victory against overwhelming odd. Here are some examples:
In the book of second kings, the king of Assyria and His Army surrounded the kingdom of Judah, but in one night the Angel of the lord slew 185,000 soldiers without any soldier raising a sword. 2 kings 19:35. A second example is Gideon, who fought and defeated 15,000 Midianites with three Hundred men (Judges 7:7). When we realize the capacity of God to do the incredible, our confidence shoots from zero to maximum. An army was sent to arrest prophet Elisha. His servant was afraid that the end has come, but the prophet could see the invisible. He simply said “Don’t be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16) When God is on your side you are assured of victory even when the odd are against you.
[pullquote] You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'” – 2 Chronicles 20:17 [/pullquote] God has done something to make it possible for you to live in victory, yet there is something you must do.
- An uncommon victory requires an uncommon weapon. Learn to praise him in the darkest hours of your life. The Scriptures tells, “As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.” – 2 Chronicles 20:22
- Be committed: Many expects God to be wholeheartedly committed to them, but yet they are not willing to risk anything for Him. The Hebrews boy were willing to rsik their lives and the wrath of the king before they appearance of the four man in fiery furnace.
- Be confident: “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10. We are sometimes full of anxiety of matters we have no power to change or do anything about. Yet we worry as if we can do something about it.
- Be courageous: David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished. – 1 chronicles 28:20. Faith is he who has called, you will not be an abandon project in the house of God
We must refuse to give up, back up, or shut up or be held up, until we have stood up, lined up, read up, prayed up, confessed up, stored up, spoke up, looked up, and filled up on everything the Lord wants to give His children!
