Title: Without Him

Scripture: By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. – John 5:30Our society seems that we are devoid of God. The headlines on our daily newspaper and the evening news explain what I’m trying to say. It’s seems that everyone’s pursuit is in self-gratification. I was once challenged by someone about the goodness of God. The conversation went something like this, “Do you believe your God is good?”, to which I replied Yes. Then he began naming all the atrocities in the world today, from children being in sin, being killed, being molested, hunger, famine etc. He had a feeling he had cornered me. I calmly responded by saying, “Define Democracy?” He responded, the government of the people by people for the people. I said, if God is not in the equation why is he responsible for the aftermath result of man’s decision (Psalms 116:15).

[pullquote]Our problem is we all put limitations on ourselves and God! It’s time for us to take the limits off of ourselves and off of God![/pullquote]Life without God: Politicians and extremist are doing their best to remove God from the equation of life, wanting to make God the scapegoat when things go wrong. When sin reigns in our lives not only are we disobedient and become compromising but we also see that we become complacent in just where we are. Have we become so complacent with where we are without God that we don’t know what a life with God is?

  • If you’re Sick- He is the great Physician
  • If you’re Poor – He is your Riches
  • If you’re Weak – He is your Strength
  • If you’re in Trouble – He is your Deliverer
  • If you’re Fearful – He is your Peace
  • Without Him we are Helpless – Hopeless & Powerless

[pullquote] “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” – Philippians. 4:13 [/pullquote]What do we Do?

  • We must let go of everything- Our sins, or pride, our guilt, and our dreams our visions & take Him by the hand
  • We must let go of our righteousness – and be clothed in His Righteousness
  • We must daily commit ourselves to the Lordship of Christ

When we consider where we are now and what we have in Jesus Christ that a life without God is terrible; no matter what you have done, no matter where you have been, God is calling for you. It’s your choice today as a young person, as an adult to live with God or to live without God. Choose God today!
