Title: God,Our Greatest Ally

If God be for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

Humanly speaking, it is impossible for us to defeat our enemy, the devil, with our natural strength and might. He is stronger, wiser and he will out maneuver with his tricks. This puts us at a disadvantage every time we go into battle with the enemy. To avoid defeat in hands of our adversary, we form an alliance like many nations around the world. Smaller nation with resources but little military might would form an alliance with a nation like the United States to avoid being bullied. This has proven effective and a great deterrent for other nations who might want to bully them.

As Christians, one of our greatest ally is the Almighty God but we cannot serve him on own term and condition. His terms are well spelt out in the scripture for an effective partnership. For example, He says be holy (I Peter 1:16). Our alliance with God is like a marriage covenant that requires complete fidelity to Him. No man in his right mind is willing to share his wife with another man (Isaiah 54:5). God also expects the same.

The scripture can also be reversed, and to read if God is against us who can be for us (Roman 8:31). We cannot be an enemy of God and expect to win in the game of life.
God is the umpire in the game of your life. Not because God is going to cheat on our behalf but he wouldn’t allow the enemy to cheat us out of what is rightfully ours like he did to Adam.

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3 Many people are wondering if they have gone too far and is too late to turn back. I want to assure you that God is for you, despite your failures. His availability to you is not dependent on whether or not you have been good or bad. His words are the terms and conditions for our relationship (John 6:37). God is for you! He is on your side! He loves you from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. He will never leave you nor will he ever forsake you. He knew in advance how you would blow it or mess up before you became a Christian (Romans 5:8). The cross is proof that God is for us. Jesus Christ died for every sin you had ever committed before you had accept Him as your Lord and Saviour of your life.

Please take a moment now to quietly pray if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your only Savior and God. Do it today and receive the power of God! Overcome the darkness by allowing Jesus Christ the powerful light into your heart; then let it shine to the world who needs light!

God is a faithful Ally who stands within us
