Scripture : The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. – Proverbs 4:18
God’s desire for every believer is greatness. For believer’s, greatness is a journey and not a destination as there are no limits in God. The path of the just is an ever increasing. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14-16
There are factors in life that can affect our greatness in life.
- Ignorance: Some people who did not know that greatness is available. The Bible describes those who lacked knowledge as “living in darkness” and Jesus came to bring light to those who lived in darkness. The scriptures tell us, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
- Arrogance:. the world’s measure of greatness is totally different for God’s criteria. The world judges us by how much money we possess, houses, cars and the health of our account. God judges us by the standard of His Word.
- Reluctance: Stagnant water stinks. Making oneself available for greatness is a key factor. When we believe, there is no need to go further. A man of God went out to pray on the side of the mountain when suddenly God spoke to him. God said, are you contented with where you are or do you want to go further? God wants to take you further but are you available
- Complacency: The scripture encourages us to give no room to the enemy. Sometimes the demands of greatness takes us away from the core things that brought us into greatness itself. For example, we neglect to pray, fast, study the word of God and fellowship other believers.
I pray that God’s Word and wisdom continues to illumine my darkness path and lead us in to greatness

- Father, help me to fulfil the greatness inside of me
